THE ASTROLOGY OF JUNE 2022: CATCHING A DEEP BREATH
June begins with a fresh kind of energy. On May 30th, the New Moon in Gemini marked the closure of the Eclipse Portal. Our individual experience of May’s Astrology was undoubtedly unique, but with the Full Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio Mid-May, we are likely all emerging changed. Perhaps wiser, maybe a little “upside down”, but learning to breathe deeper through this pivotal time in our evolution. Eclipses are cosmic course correctors and always guide us deeper into alignment, no matter how challenging that may appear for the Ego.
Eclipse Season is one of the time periods each year for us to meet powerful lessons as it relates to our soul contract. The more flexible we are, the better. As always, non-resistance is the name of the game as we flow with the transience of life’s ups and downs.
Witness yourself in this moment, how far you have come, how courageous you are, and the beauty of the world you are creating. It takes deep strength and fortitude to be alive on Earth at this time. And many of us are mastering these challenges with true grace! What beauty.
The Astrology of June may feel like a breath of fresh air, especially as Mercury, the planet of communication goes Direct on June 3rd. Honour that you still may be feeling a little ungrounded and uncertain. Be comfortable with not knowing now, and make yourself available to listen. Mercury, Venus and Mars will be in their home signs for almost the entire month. This will bring a much desired sense of momentum, ease, with less “hiccups” overall. Let any resistance and frustration you are carrying simply melt away.

There will still be a subtle push ~ pull energy with Jupiter and Mars in boisterous Aries versus Mercury and Venus in the slow and steady sign of Taurus. The second half of June however, will be full of quick movements and expansion as Mercury and Venus join the Sun in playful Gemini and the Full Moon transits the sign of Sagittarius on June 14th.
Towards the end of the month we move into the Cancerian frequency which brings beautiful sensitivity. Our psychic gifts will be blossoming and our close connections will benefit from our desire to nurture. The spiritual significance of the Summer Solstice on June 21st as the Sun enters Cancer, is deep and nourishing. Summer Solstice is a climactic point in our yearly journey as daylight reaches its peak and and then our days begin to shorten once again. It is a time of rejoicing in the bounty, warmth and light of the glorious summer season.

JUNE 4TH: SATURN GOES RETROGRADE IN AQUARIUS
Saturn brings discipline and with it moving retrograde, this is a great time to look at a habit that is keeping you stuck. Perhaps you can revisit a habit or addiction you’ve tried to break in the past, but couldn’t. Now is a great time to give it another go. You will find you have an added dose of strength to meet your challenges with grounded persistence. This is a great time to refresh your relationship with technology (gaining mastery over addictions), and setting boundaries in your social sphere. It is a great time to simplify your life, clear clutter and create space for healthier habits and relationships.
JUNE 13TH: MERCURY ENTERS HOME SIGN IN GEMINI
Mercury is happiest here and you will find your communications and life speeding up tremendously. There is a buzz in the air, and you will be feeling lighter than usual. Be conscientious of what types of information you are consuming, and make sure you cleanse your energy at the end of each day. (I love bathing + smudging with Palo Santo.) You are likely out and about, interacting and experiencing a lot. Take time for integration, grounding and channelling your creativity into something that satisfies your inner child. Take a short trip and watch your inspiration soar.
JUNE 14TH: FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS
This Super Full Moon in Sagittarius brings idealism, expansion and the spiritual energies of Jupiter into play. It can also bring overindulgence, and promising more than you can deliver. Allow yourself to embrace these enthusiastic energies but be mindful of indulging to the point of imbalance. Let yourself play, embrace your inner fire and let this full moon take you to new heights! Something to ponder: What beliefs do I hold about myself that I could surrender in support of my highest flourishing? Where can I lighten up and bring humour?
JUNE 21ST: SUN ENTERS CANCER/ SUMMER SOLSTICE
The Sun Entering Cancer marks the first day of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere. The Summer Solstice is the day with the longest period of sunlight. Cancer represents the archetype of the Mother, and brings us in communion with Divine Feminine Energy. Cancer is a cardinal sign, and cardinal energy initiates. This is a powerful time to give your love abundantly, to nourish others and to fill your cup so that it overflows to those around you. Summertime offers incredible richness of light, colour and connection. Create a ritual on this day to honour the seasonal transition and the light within you.
